Terms of Service

Welcome to Holiday Lights Chicagoland (“we,” “our,” “us”). By requesting a quote, placing an order, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

1) Service Overview

We provide seasonal holiday lighting services, typically on a rental basis: design guidance, lights & hardware supply, timer setup, professional installation, in-season service windows, takedown, and off-season storage. If you prefer to purchase lights outright, please ask during quoting.


2) Quotes & Approvals

  • Estimates are based on address measurements, photos, and selected package/add-ons.
  • Final pricing may adjust for roofline length, access complexity, lift requirements, or changes requested.
  • An approval (written or digital) authorizes us to proceed with scheduling and procurement.

3) Scheduling & Access

  • We schedule by install windows (date ranges), influenced by weather and safety.
  • You authorize safe access to the property and working electrical outlets for the duration of the season.
  • Weather, safety, and supply constraints may require rescheduling; we’ll communicate promptly.

4) Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are stated before work begins and reflect the approved scope.
  • Invoices are due as indicated on the quote/invoice. Late balances may incur reasonable fees where permitted.
  • Sales tax may apply. Payment methods accepted will be shown on your invoice.

5) Changes, Reschedules, Cancellations

  • Please notify us as early as possible to change or reschedule your window.
  • Scope changes after approval may affect price and timing.
  • Weather or safety may require us to reschedule without liability.

6) Equipment Ownership

Unless explicitly sold to you, lights, clips, cords, timers, and related hardware remain our property. You agree not to alter, relocate, or remove equipment without our consent.


7) In-Season Service

If an issue arises (e.g., outage or section failure), contact us. We aim to respond within 24–48 hours in-season; response time can vary with weather and demand, and some issues may require parts replacement.


8) Property Conditions & Safety

  • You represent the site is reasonably safe and that roof/siding/landscape areas are in sound condition.
  • We use roof-safe practices; we are not responsible for pre-existing wear, defective materials, or hidden hazards.
  • We may refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe.

9) Photos & Marketing

We may photograph completed work for records and marketing. If you prefer we don’t use photos of your property in marketing, tell us anytime and we will honor it.


10) Disclaimer of Warranties

Services are provided with reasonable skill and care. Except as expressly stated, we provide services “as available” and disclaim other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.


11) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the applicable seasonal service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.


12) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms.


13) Communications (Phone, SMS, Email)

By submitting our form, you consent to receive project-related communications by phone, text, and/or email. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts. Consent is not a condition of purchase.


14) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Illinois law. Venue lies in state courts located in Cook or DuPage County, Illinois.


15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll post the new date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted when required.
